The Advisory Committee assists Tembo in various ways. They participate in project evaluation and implementation, student selection and monitoring, group training for business and the Virtues Project. The Canadian agents make all decisions regarding expenditure of funds, but the Advisory Committee disburses authorised funds when no agents are present.

Richard Andawa Richard chairs the Advisory Committee. He is a retired bank manager, specialising in staff training. He is an accredited Master Facilitator for the Virtues Project in Kenya	Bibiana Andabwa Bibiana is an elected councillor for the town of Kakamega. She specialises in working with womens' groups, widows and orphans. She is a volunteer child protection officer and a trained facilitator for the Virtues Project.	Caroline Nanjala Caroline is a student in Social Work. She has worked in our computer school and serves as secretary for the Advisory Committee. She has worked with micro finance groups and is leading basic entrepreneurial training.
Grace Lidede Grace is a retired elementary school principal and is responsible for fee payment and student monitoring when agents are away. Grace is a Rotarian and involved in development projects	Jeremiah Karungani Jeremiah has served Canadian and other volunteer organisations in Kakamega for a number of years. He has developed a transportation and restaurant business through hard work and perseverance.	Julius Luseka Julius is a leader in his community. He is a skilled artist in designing and making jewelry as well as a farmer. He is a valuable liaison with rural groups.
Reuben Sechele Nyangweso Reuben is a partner in a publishing company  and  has worked with the Read for the Top project donating and providing reading books for the schools. He spent several years in Canada and has a degree from Carleton in Political Science. He plans to run for Parliament in the next election	Vincent Ajuoga Vincent was one of the first students in the computer school in 2003. He became an instructor, trained as a computer technician and now runs his own business in Kakamega	Nixon Ifeda Nixon is not a full member of the committee because he is a contractor for Tembo. He receives and evalutes requests for clean water projects and works closely with the Canadian agent in carrying out the projects.
Alex Omino Alex works in community development in rural areas. He has assisted Tembo in group training for entrepreneurship. Tembo hopes to continue the contractual relationship with Alex.
